Patriot Construction is a Lexington-based residential general contractor, founded in 2018 by Timothy Ray. The company is the product of 15+ years of hands-on construction experience, starting in framing and roofing, learning every other trade by working alongside the people who’d been doing them for thirty years.
That apprenticeship is what still shapes how Patriot Construction finishes every home. Timothy Raymoved from production roofing into custom remodeling, eventually earning his contractor’s credentials and launching the company under his own name, first as a roofing-and-repair shop, then growing into the full-service general contractor it is today.
Patriot Construction is the team you call when the details matter. Interior remodeling, custom kitchens and baths, additions, custom carpentry, and premium roofing: six disciplines, delivered at a level of finish our neighbors notice. We work across the entire North Carolina Triad: Lexington, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Thomasville, Asheboro, Kernersville, and Clemmons.

[ A LETTER FROM TIMOTHY RAY ]
I started in the trades right out of high school, learning framing and roofing first. The roofs taught me weather. The framing taught me geometry. From there I worked my way through every other discipline a residential project needs, rough carpentry, drywall, tile, cabinetry, finish work, learning each one from people who had been doing it for thirty years.
In 2018I founded Patriot Construction to build under my own name, to my own standard. We started in roofing and home repair because that’s where the calls came in. Today we run a full general contracting practice, interior remodels, custom kitchens and baths, additions, custom carpentry, and roofing, and every project still runs through me personally, from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.
If you hire Patriot, you get me. Not a project manager you’ll never hear from again. You’ll have my cell phone, you’ll see me on your jobsite, and you’ll get a straight answer every time you ask one.
